Clearspace

In researching Enterprise 2.0 platforms I came across Clearspace by Jive Software.  I’ve just installed the evaluation version but I must say it’s pretty impressive so far.  It has blogs, wikis, document management, comprehensive user profiles, tag clouds and, most importantly, syndication.

I’ll keep you updated on how I go with our evaluation.

Glad to hear you’re excited about syndication. We spent a lot of time make sure that there were feeds (also available in JSON and Atom by appending /atom or /json to any of the feeds) for just about anything you would want one for. Let me know if you think of one we missed.

    Cheers,

    Aaron,

I’ve tested the syndication (RSS) and it works well (even when the content is secured). But what about open APIs? For example, is it possible to access content through webservices, REST etc.? This would be helpful when integrating Clearspace into other line of business applications.

yep, we’ve got SOAP documented here:

and we haven’t really gotten around to REST support yet, but it’s on the radar screen. You can also write plugins directly into Clearspace, read more about those here:
